New Form Changes for documents in the state of Colorado to take effect on September 1, 2009. Colorado State Legislature passed HB 1207 concerning procedures to enforce a lien against real property. This bill addresses the replacement of the words "Owner of Idebtedness" with "By Holder of the Evidence of Debt" to be recited on any full or partial Lien Release of Deed of Trust. This however is not the only document addressed. This bill addresses the preparation of original documents, recordings, mailings, timelines, etc. throughout the entire process including foreclosure.
